While I agree with you re pain mgmt, #opioids are not the only solution. As a #breastcancer survivor, #medicalmarijuana was incredibly helpful in managing my pain & nausea from chemo. Why give more $ to #BigPharma when other forms of medication are effective w/less side effects?
Pain isn’t one-size fits all—and the tools we use to manage it must not be either. We need find responsible, comprehensive solutions for pain management that ensure opioids are used responsibly but also are still within reach for people dealing with pain who need them.

This doesn’t work for everyone...and it’s not legal everywhere. So we are left with legal, proven alternatives for those who do not wish to be high or illegal. I tried...I know.

I am blessed with a higher pain threshold than many others. My doctor knows I only accept strong pain meds when I can't control it on my own, like when I had shingles. I only wish there were more who could.
