Today my colleagues and I officially requested—again—that the Trump administration explain to Congress and the American people why thousands of US troops are being deployed to the US-Mexico border for eight more months. This deployment is unprecedented and unexplained.
Without justification, we have no reason to believe this deployment is anything but a misuse of our military that will militarize the border, blur law enforcement & military missions, & degrade military readiness. The military isn't a political prop. The public deserves answers.

There is no emergency. Money and troops are needed for actual emergencies, not made up propaganda.
The explanation is a phoney emergency reason to get funding for phoney wall. Which he said was already being built and just about finished.
