Pretty sure headstart has nothing to do with the chance of ending up in foster care
Kids who attend #HeadStart are
- healthier
- more emotionally developed
- less likely to end up in foster care
- more likely to graduate high school and go on to college.
Increasing Head Start funding isn't just the right thing to do, it's a smart investment in our future.

I think headstart is a great program, I wish it could be expanded to all kids not just low income.

HeadStart is awesome. My wonderful Aunt Louise taught it for decades on the south side of Chicago and was able to see the difference in made in kids' lives.

I have 2 nieces who had serious learning disabilities. They were in head start and through the years had special education teachers. They both graduated from high school and secured jobs. One passed away from a genetic heart condition, but the other is planning her wedding!
