I'm glad that President Trump and Senate Republicans finally listened to workers, agreed to open the government, and end this #TrumpShutdown.
We breathe a sigh of relief today, but we need to do everything we can to make sure this doesn’t happen again in a few short weeks.

I encourage anyone who was hurt by this shutdown to keep the pressure on President Trump and his Republican allies to not go down this path again. I urge the president to work with us on actual solutions and set aside his threats to circumvent Congress if he doesn’t get his way.

I as well hope our Senator will work with the President in securing our borders. Continued political games will only punish taxpayers and federal workers. This will leave our borders wide open as they are now in many places.
