Senator Murray: The American people will not be held hostage. Please write a bill that the people who will NOT be paid during shutdowns will be the executive and congressional branches. No one should be able to run for re-election either.

The blind small business owners who run cafeterias in federal buildings are also losing hand over foot.

Weird business but ok.

I worked for the government. When the government has shut down over the years I went to find a temporary job to scrape by until my back pay arrived. If you know your check is tied to the government in any way and you know you will still need to work, you 3 to 6 months savings.

The only way this is gonna stop is when large corporations start to feel the pain.
