So 16 year olds at McDOnald’s will have the same hourly wage as my friend who is veterinary technician. Awesome.
The #RaiseTheWage Act will:
- raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2024
- provide economic security to the lowest-wage workers
- help workers w/ disabilities transition out of poverty

I think the minimum wage should be raised now so we quit subsidizing companies that pay wages so small their employees have to get food stamps and Medicaid just to live!

Alternatively, don’t raise the minimum wage and encourage people to leave their job and find a new one if they feel their work ethic warrants $15/hr. Businesses are going to raise prices or automate if the min. wage is raised. After all, I’m sure you purport they’re greedy, no?

You know, in Seattle we’ve had $15 minumum wage for a while now and I’ve only seen a single McDonalds that has these automated stations. You’re peddling fear about something you haven’t seen or experienced firsthand.
