I’m not worried. When there was a budget impass here in CA, the state issued IOUs in place of paychecks. Banks honored them, knowing they will get paid when it all came to pass. This too will pass. Let’s get this done!
On behalf of families wondering when they’ll get their next paycheck or when their government will be fully functioning, I won’t stop calling on Republicans to work with us to do the right thing and re-open the government as quickly as possible.

How does a stretch of wall on the Mexican border keep USA safe when there are no other protections? What about international airports, coastal States like Florida without a wall, and Canada? Time to get serious and have bigger conversations than just "keep the brown folks out"
