I have read all articles on this and 800,000 was the number the last time we shutdown the government. Most government departments have already been funded so this number is a lot less.

The reason the shutdowns happen?...To provoke the masses... Only non-essential personnel are "not getting paid"...They will get the current paycheck, the next one will be delayed until an agreement is reached, then they all get back pay...
