Senator Patty Murray Retweeted UW News

"On Mount Rainier, snow is the main driver of plant behavior. If there is snow, plants cannot photosynthesize. If they cannot photosynthesize, they cannot grow.” We can no longer turn a blind eye to climate change. We must protect our cherished mountains & plants. #ActOnClimatehttps://twitter.com/uwnews/status/1072536034720780288 …

It's #InternationalMountainDay! Did you know that the wildflowers on our very own Mount Rainier are changing with the climate? Check out this research from last year https://www.washington.edu/news/2017/11/07/with-climate-change-mount-rainier-floral-communities-could-reassemble-with-new-species-relationships-interactions/ … pic.twitter.com/jkgYZqhzJ0

Does anyone proofread what you put out? Doesnt the Mount Rainer watershed need snow?

You are Don Quixote if you think the US alone can have a major impact. And no, the Paris Accord would have hamstrung the US more than other countries. Please recommend what we Washingtonian's can do to have a measurable impact.

Yes if only some sort of say, United States Senator for example, would put forward or get behind policy that actually addressed climate change that would be super. It's not just our "cherished mountains and plants" its our lives as we know it.

So... we need less snow to help plants thrive? Great news Patty!!! Global warming will reduce the snowfall so see... fixed it for you.

I thought it was GLOBAL WARMING and melting polar ice you were so concerned about. Now you say snow on the mountains is the problem? Exactly how do you plan to stop that, put an umbrella over the mountains? "Climate Change" irrationality & stupidity is completely out of control!
