Elections have consequences. Republicans were voted out of the house primally due their views on spending and healthcare. Why should democrats try and entertain those same impulses?

Give Trump the $5 billion. When your budget is 3200 billion ,5 is just over 1%. Keep the government open and hold the line in 19. It’s not worth shutting it down over pocket change. If you can give $15 billion in foreign aid to countries that hate us you can give Trump his funds
