Help me understand this Senator, because I don't think a school should be investigating crimes that happen outside of its campus. Where am I thinking wrong on this? Does it investigate burglaries that happen to students at off-campus apartments, currently?

It’s the school’s responsibility 2 investigate violations of their honor code, incl. sexual violence, sexual harassment, racist incidents & thefts, etc. Odd, only sexual violence elicits, “why no cops?” Survivors get 2 choose what outcome they want/what system they engage. PERIOD

In cases like this, the best course of action is to hand these cases off to the actual police, like why is this even an issue?

She explains in the video the school is responsible for safety in classes as well as counseling. That doesn’t happen if the cops are the only ones involved
