People are having someone else raise their children! What do you expect! We have a society based on a two income family and this is really true in places like the Seattle area! Parents should be raising their own children until grown!

They can't when the government takes half their pay and gives it to illegals that undercut our salaries.

Let's not forget it costs more because preschool teachers and daycare workers have to pay these living costs, too. Many still hover around minimum wage. Ours may be on the high end, but it's not enough to keep up. My low income apt ups rent every year, negating each raise I get.

That is socialism. While Robbin Hood makes a cute story it is still socialism taking from one group to pay for another group. Not my kids to raise. Teach our kids reading, writing and math instead of being good little socialist and they can get a good job and raise their own kids

The government's job is not to subsidise every expense families or individuals incur. Responsible planning and living within your income goes a long way to provide for yourself. No eating out, no new cars (buy used),smaller homes, etc.

Let’s think about that amount: divided by 30 days divided by eight hours a day $6.25 per hour. Orange divided by 22.5 work days in a month equals $6.67 an hour. People are supposed to get paid $15 an hour then childcare is being severely underpaid.

Well I am sure government subsidizing child care thereby increasing demand and then on top of that forcing child care providers to pay employees at least $15 an hour, those combined will surely bring down the costs. Oh wait.
