Long before oppressive taxes and regulations had driven up the cost of everything, people could stay home with children, or find affordable care. Childcare is now regulated to the point no one wants or can afford to enter the business.

Primary breadwinners, whether mothers or fathers, need quality, affordable childcare during working hours. I was lucky to have a woman, well known by my family, who cared for my kids from 4 to 5 weeks on. (My town had no day care center at all.)
