When women began to go to work in the last century the single wage earner lost "his" bargaining power with employers who had no incentive to pay both man & wife the same wage. To this day employers get 2 workers for what they used to pay 1 worker. Change THAT... you change it all

Except this entirely ignores the root problem that our kids are growing up without proper brain development/social development due to lack of parenting & employers still get 2 workers for the price of one which keeps parents from raising their kids. Better pay fixes everything.

This is an urgent issue. I am a grandmother. I have taken care of my twin 4 1/2 yr old grandchildren for nearly 3 yrs because of the high cost of child care (not that I did not love every day with them). Now they are pre-K @ nearly $1,500/month each for full time care.

and you would think that couples would be able to use a calculator & basic math skills to realize what they are REALLY making AFTER all expenses so that they work out a way to actually parent their kids instead of making $3 per hour extra & expecting strangers to socialize kids
