I have never even heard of the WASFA! There needs to be better communication to students and parents for these opportunities
Fewer than half of WA HS seniors fill out the #FAFSA or #WASFA, leaving millions of dollars on the table each year—& those needing the most support are the least likely to take that 1st important step.

We looked, and did the FAFSA estimator. If he were to take this "aid," my son would graduate with a mind-numbing, soul-crushing debt he'd never escape from. Most of this "aid" is student loans. It's a financial trap that preys on the hopes and dreams of the optimistic young.
