At some point Democrats need to point out that a program like Social Security and Medicare are paid for by Employees & Employers, so they're NOT Entitlement. They aren't Tax Dollars either & that money doesn't belong to the government. They're retirement savings programs, PERIOD

Such short-sighted thinking. If these programs are gutted, where will all the elders go? For many, this is their only income. Homelessness will explode & there are not enough safety nets now. It boggles the mind. 1930's again anyone? No way.

Each day local newspapers are filled with names of people who died before 65, my brother was one he paid thirty years into Medicare and Social Security and never lived to see a penny of it. Tens of thousands more have too, the govt. needs to quit using SS money for other things.
