Oh please Betsy. Save your drama queen antics for people who don’t really care about education, ie republicans. You’ve done nothing but destroy the system since day 1. #Resign

DNC has destroyed education system over the past 40 years, you have no idea what you are talking about, Mikey.
-
Do some research on education reforms & you'll find most have been enacted by Republicans - biggest fubar 'no child left behind' circa Bush deux. Then search individual states' education reforms. You'll see a vast contrast btwn Red & Blue/Purple states...pic.twitter.com/wxKJM0INl3

The DNC and the unions have run the education system for 5 decades, I dare you to respond to this video, it contains facts aka liberal kryptonite. I was a NYC school teacher, I know.https://youtu.be/l7FS5B-CynM
-
Republicans hate unions because they empower people who aren't rich.
-
That didn't make a lick of sense

Why don't we get rid of public education and parents can use the saved tax money for private schools or home schooling.
-
So you want to give public appropriation dollars to private schools-including parochial schools-without giving the people (through our representation) the opportunity to oversee how those dollars are being used?
-
Nope I want all the tax money spent on public education returned to tax payers like I said. Allow them to put it towards home schooling or private schools.
-
Last week I met a 14 yr old girl homeschooled by her mother. She cannot tell you what 9x9 is, but can quote several passages from a bible.
-
And I know ps kids (in hs) who don't know either, unless they use their phones. They also don't know states or countries, or the difference between the 2.
-
Well that might be true in GOP states... that would sure explain lot. Of course that is also true of the majority of adults. Your argument for example has no foundation, just a perception of your own reflection
-
Actually, your original argument is invalid. Your current statement is just pure stupidity. I don't know of any adults who don't know Alaska is a state or Canada a country. BTW, I live in a Dem run state. These are the kids ps is turning out.

Before making comments like these, please go visit a public school. Get your clearances and volunteer in the library or with kid writing in kindergarten. If you have a degree, be a guest teacher. Public schools aren’t perfect, but much better than the alternative.

You are lying. I support due process, and innocent until proven guilty.

I cannot imagine a university administration that would want to, or would even dare try any of what Sen.
@PattyMurray is suggesting. It would not happen. -
Private schools would be given full carte blanche to hide behind their “beliefs” and be fully exempt from public standards, or student recourse. That is ripe for corruption, & tears at the heart of civil rights standards that should be a part of every business operating today!
-
The Constitution and civil rights law sets civil rights standards. Courts are recourse.
-
Haven’t seen much evidence that the GOP and trump admin has upheld the constitution (emoluments clause, for starters) They break civil rights laws everyday they incarcerate innocent children in cages, and are stocking courts with extremist judges so recourse will Be nonexistent.
-
So, we have to take control of children in private schools because.....Trump. Karen, I'm not a fan of the guy either, but that doesn't make sense to me.
-
It is wrong to think because parents put their child in a private school they lose the oversight of the state to mandate fair treatment and provide recourse. Public schools are being decimated in poorer areas by Devos, and she wants no checks on what is taught in private schools
-
Your point of view profoundly differs from mine. And I doubt that American parents want the state to replace them. Thanks for bringing up Detroit schools where this policy has failed. Funding there has been in the highest 5% in the country. Their test scores among the lowest.
