Most of us who have been or are teachers are well aware that the least suitable place for a gun is in the classroom. It would be threatening to see a teacher holstering a gun as she walked about her classroom. And an unattended gun is danger in the offing.

In a live shooter incident, there is a good chance law inforcement will shoot at a shooter, not realizing s/he is an armed teacher. It's not like everyone is wearing "good guy" or "bad guy" shirts.
