I am a proponent of common sense gun controls. Attacking the 1st amendment isn’t common sense gun control. That genie is out of the bottle. You can’t put it back in. Deal with the issues, not the symptoms - and don’t erode civil liberty even more for “security theater”
Allowing blueprints online that help people to print guns is a direct rebuke to the wishes of the majority of people who want more common sense gun safety reforms, not fewer. That's not true at all. I, your constituent, am fine with this. These designs have existed for years and are at best literal one-shot weapons using a caliber suited for killing squirrels. Plus, manufacturing a firearm at home is 100% legal and already permitted by BATFE.
