Only with access to legal abortion do women have the same control over their lives as men, and the same freedom - otherwise, women do not have equal freedom. You can say this is God’s plan if you’d like, but we should be skeptical of humans claiming to speak for God.

"Leaving abortion to the states" is an intellectual cop out. Our Constitution promises equality of rights. We don’t leave it up to the states to decide if one group deserves lesser rights under the Constitution.
