I graduated a year early from high school in 1983, when I went to college, between the benefits of my father's service in the Marines, and Pell Grants I paid 0 to attend college which then allowed me to work on campus and pay for an apartment. We need to return to that!

If you can't afford the debt don't sign up for it. Taxpayers shouldn't be on the hook for student loans, for any institution. Being irresponsible for financial decisions is reserved for professional politicans. Balanced budget adment and term limits is greatly needed in USA.
