It shouldn't even be about this though it's none of their damn business. I want Congress to stand up and stop placating religious zealots. This is not a "Christian nation". That was never the intention. This bullshit needs to stop being legislated.
I’m calling on anyone — woman or man — who is concerned about what’s at stake for women’s reproductive rights to make that clear — loudly and immediately. If you have a story that shows why reproductive rights matter in our country, share it.

I'm a 47 yr old who spent the last 1 1/2 yrs battling Stage IV breast cancer that will at some point return. If my birth control fails, I've no other option. The maintenance chemo I'm on causes horrendous birth defects. My husband's in his 60s. I won't doom a child to orphanhood.

My mom was a social worker in the 50's and left it following a traumatic search for homes for the 6 kids that the neighborhood abortionist left behind while going to jail for the accidental death of one of her clients. Women had so few choices in the years before Roe vs Wade.
