And why we also need NDAA 19 for DoDEA student victims. We have known for 21 years DoDEA students lack Title IX rights. Time to fix it. Title IX 25th Anniversary 1997. https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4740433/25th-anniv-title-ix-dodea …

It actually wouldn’t cost hospitals anything. If fact, we have the endorsement of the Washington Hospital Association. It would identify gaps in care, strengthen the SANE nurse workforce, identify best practices, and increase access to healthcare and due process.

When you report a rape to the police are they not aware of which hospitals are able to provide that service? And if you’re not reporting it to the police why would dyou need a rape kit? What bills have you put forth to address the child trafficking in Washington?
-
1. No, police are not necessarily aware of where rape kits are available. 2. Many victims present directly to the hospital for a number of reasons a) medical necessity b) fear or distrust of the police c) home isn’t safe, and many others.
