No worries. It's just the religious BS that pushed it to begin with. And I'll admit to being a bit skeptical of some of the studies saying it's good, as they seem be backed/funded by religious organizations. Education and basic hygiene would cover most of the problems, right?

You wouldnt be born with one if it wasnt meant to be. If you have a good hygiene regimen i doubt very much that circumcision would serve much purpose.

You are born with finger nails that grow and harbor bacteria. Should we not cut them? You are born with an umbilical cord attached. Shall we try to keep it forever? We use deodorant and wash and do many things that are contradictory to the way we were born for hygiene purposes

None of those require a surgical procedure though. So I'm not sure those are quite the same.

The after care is literally just observation for about 24 hours. It's as much surgery as removing a mole

You may be correct. The religious ritual is one thing; the clinical impact is another. And no one should ever conflate male circumcision and female genital mutilation.

Agreed that is an argument I hear often. The two are completely different. One has actually medical science backing the positive effects of it. The other is sick mutilation
