YouTube banned a vegan dude who rescued pigeons and produced carefully worded content specifically designed not to violate their TOS. No reason given.
Ludicrous and proof of flagrant partisan censorship of conservatives.
RT if you think @TeamYouTube should restore his account.

Why can't YouTube have whatever rules they want? They're a private company... can't see "censorship" on that

There's also the issue that gov't action/inaction meddling has produced the environment - either purposefully or not - that has created a small, coordinated cabal of companies that control everything we can see. They're "private" but... are they in league with state actors.

No buts. They're private.

So if government helps set up a monopoly, then uses backdoors and influence to control info or spy on us, you're good with that?

No, I's be pretty pissed at the Government for doing that. But that has nothing to do with the fact that YT baning someone is not government controled censorship.

...but it easily could be, that's the point. How would you even know? It's not like there's ten YT equivalents out there, which there would be if it was a totally free market. It could be only temporary, an outlier. Doesn't feel like it though.

I *could* be a neurosurgeon, but that doesn't give me carte blanche to perform brain surgery, does it? If ifs and buts were candy and nuts...

The government can contract a private software company to create a social network and entire internet infrastructure and you would never know it's the government's hands at work. What's more is it isn't illegal and likely already being done by middle eastern royal families.

There's that word again. "Likely", "if", "could be", "might" etc doesn't mean "is definitely happening".

No shit Sherlock, you could be a neurosurgeon but you haven't the means nor resources. Does the government have the means and far superior resources? See the difference?

Just because they have the resources doesn't mean they are. I *could* spend every cent of my paycheck on hookers and blow, but I've got this little thing called impulse control. Again, because you're not getting this, "could be" is not "definitely is".
