Spent most of today trying to get a young man into drug treatment. I've said this a lot, & am working to change it-- our city doesn't prioritize immediate, on demand treatment. It's complicated to access w lots of barriers. And Fentanyl is brutal unlike anything we've ever seen.
I've heard some addicts needed to be jailed to be woken up. Seems like the guy you supported, @chesaboudin, is going the other direction.

I do not support locking people up for drug use.

I'm not necessarily talking about that, but the so-called non-violent crimes that come with addiction like theft. Like breaking into homes, cars, and shoplifting.
