I'll admit that the power of horses sprinting & stopping on a dime was shockingly beautiful, but the fact that this was only something available to a handful of people felt immediately wrong and was confirmed with every conversation I had with 20 or so clueless people I talked to

I met the owners who bragged about importing a particular sand for the horse's training stable that cost a bazillion dollars and they had to fight with Napa because their site was on top of a native american burial ground. These people exist and run our world.

I bring this up not to point out that they're bad people, but that these worlds exist that fund Dems thinking they're saving the world. California is full of them. It's infuriating that people think CA is some sort of liberal bastion, when in reality these are our leaders here.

I worked in a casino yrs back. I was given the “privilege” of working in the VIP room. Had to dress like a geisha 4 the rich men. 1 assaulted me for touching his ashtray, another made me wait 10mins for a tip then threw 50 cents at me & laughed. I was told it’s just how it is

I was a casino dealer in and after college and my girlfriend was a cocktail waitress, so I know how shitty that world can be. At it's worst it's a gross world.

I just want to add that it truly was amazing and shocking seeing the power and beauty of these horses. But I will never in my life erase seeing such an elite event.

Same as Church, people comparing their clothing and who's kids are most successful. But it's a religion organized around money rather than god.

I'm atheist but raised Evangelical. Capitalism is the proverbial 'Golden Calf' of Evangelism. The idol they worship.

I know one of those polo people in California. Paid $300,000.00 a month for the upkeep of his ponies but would not pay $5,000.00 for his dead brother's daughter's braces. Sadly, this is the 1%. The more money, the less empathy.
