The last updated post flames the owners for their cowardly anonymity, but they're too stupid or disinterested to even delete it. http://www.laweekly.com/news/who-owns-la-weekly-8911213 …

It's amazing that in a city of actors, screenwriters, directors, executives, celebrities et. al who constantly want to flex their intelligence, not one has spoken up about what a disgrace this is to the intellectual culture of LA.

Where are the Tarantino's, PTA's, Natalie Portmans, George Clooney's? All these obviously smart and powerful people staying silent. If local change is the easiest to affect, where are the people putting pressure on these OC shadow fascists destroying LA Weekly?

@MayorOfLA You grew up here. I took your politics seminar in college. We're basically best friends. How are you not concerned that the city's second biggest publication has been gutted and dismantled? Say something. Better yet, do something.Show this thread -
If the last month has taught us anything, public pressure works. Public shaming works. Dozens of terrible people got knocked out the paint. If we're going to fight back it'll be in that fashion. There are a lot of us out there and we can attack this evil.

We still don't know who owns
@LAWeekly but this is the new face of the paper. His name is@briancalle. He fired everyone & didn't even have the decency to offer a sham reason. He's a coward, a fraud and his hair is a travesty.pic.twitter.com/DxM7kTEn9W

Dear Brian, I know you read The Fountainhead once so clearly you are very worldly, but you will forever be remembered as one of the worst people in LA history. We would build a statue to Larry Bird before we'd respect your C&R suit wearing adjustable mortgage broker looking ass.

Brian Calle: you can destroy the paper, but you can't remove the permanent stain on your name. You're a Confederate, a Capo, a charlatan with a degree from Hollywood upstairs business school. You could be the richest man alive and be a loser and an embarrassment to your family.

Here's an article that Brian Calle wrote that starts "Putin had no choice but to annex Crimea." And then he actually compares Putin's fraudulent approval ratings with Obama's as a point of argument why invading a foreign territory is morally correct.http://www.ocregister.com/2014/03/30/arthur-b-laffer-brian-calle-advantage-putin/ …

More on Brian Calle, the crooked empty suit for the mystery owners of
@LAWeekly. He once argued that pro sports cheerleaders shouldn't seek state classification as employees because the job has "fringe benefits like "working closely with millionaire players."Show this thread -
Even more on Brian Calle, the new wizard at LA Weekly. In March 2016, he ran a piece ripping California Assemblymember Don Wagner for running against State Senator John Moorlach. The only problem was that Don Wagner wasn't even running.
