Can we say the same about memory? Not versed in the psych. field, but it seems like a late 19th/20th cent. thing to assume human memory is fundamentally unsound. aaaah... dont get me started... about 90% of memory research is finding protocols that will trigger memory failures (OK, some of it is useful to understand how memory works, but still...)

It's the same with decisions and "biases". With memory I can actually kind of understand this - it helps zero in on what the function of e.g. episodic memory could be, but often people just stop at a nifty conclusion of "humans are dumb, lol".
