Is this why zinc & quercetin are so important? Reading about RYR2 receptors, zinc regulates the CA2+. Quercetin helps with zinc absorption which decreases with age. Zinc deficiecy & thus unregulated calcium ions are a big factor in type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
