Anyway, this is the shit we’re all up against. People sitting there concern trolling that a 34 year old came out as trans because it seemed “sudden” to them. They were also very “concerned” that most media outlets didn’t continue to refer to him as “she” and “her.”pic.twitter.com/goQ308lllv
Anyway, right-wing media — whether it’s The Federalist, Gateway Pundit, Breitbart, or some of the writers being given 6 figure advances from Substack — push this narrative all the time.
Few people come right out and say they hate trans people. Most of the time it’s this shitty concern trolling nonsense. “Oh, no, no, no. I’m not transphobic, I just have cOnCerNs!” or “I don’t support conversion therapy. I just think people should be prevented from transitioning.”
It all plays to the same end goal, though: to make the lives of all trans people harder, to make it less acceptable to exist in the world. That’s what these ghouls want, and I’m honestly just sick of it.
it's weird how TERFs measure the speed of your transition by how quickly the media positively "receives" you
You spelled "infuriating" wrong.
JFC. Because obviously when he came out, that was literally the first time he thought about it.
I mean it's not like he gave an interview saying he's known for the past 24 years or anything.....
Lol yes because when I think of his performances the last 15 years, I think "There is a person wildly comfortable in their skin." "Rapid-onset" my furry white ass.
When I first watched Umbrella Academy, I had wondered whether Vanya was meant to be non-binary because that was the vibe I was getting
