1-Motion base. 2-Smoking podium. 3-Water spritzer. 4-Whipping mouse tails. These effects were added to Epcot with Honey I Shrunk the Audience in ‘94. Captain EO and Disney Short Film Festival repurposed some. Are we the only ones delighted by old effects hiding in plain sight?

One of Walt Disney World’s greatest mysteries is why a king from Sleeping Beauty had a banquet hall in Cinderella’s castle? It was Stephan’s for 25 years before Cindy took over in 97, if you ate carved roast beef at the original you have earned true Disney OG status!

Let’s wind back the clock to when Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios actually had servers delivering food on roller skates! This practice has all but disappeared. Anyone seen this lately? Do you remember this awesome Disney throwback to the 1950s?

Mickey’s Kitchen: think of it as the Disney Stores of fast food. Few people remember these briefly existed in the 90’s and fewer still actually ate at one of the rare test locations. Were you one of those few? If not would you be willing to try?

What the heck is this inflatable Figment that apparently was some kind of photo-op at EPCOT in the 80’s or early 90’s? Disney has done some weird stuff but this is right up near the top. Anyone remember this thing? Please retweet so we can find out!

“The grand old man himself.”This is the way a moon shot looked before Mission Space took over for Horizons at Epcot. Some would say the thrill ride was needed. But we say Horizons gave off a better spark of imagination. Are we just living in the Disney World of yester year?

8 scoops of ice cream smothered in every topping and served in a fake sink. Is the infamous “kitchen sink” something anyone has actually tried or is it Disney urban legend. We know Beaches and Cream offers it, but does anyone eat this monstrosity?!?

Pyromania: noun, an obsessive desire to set fire to things. Also known as Disney circa 1989-2005. Buildings, lagoons, vehicles; burn ‘em, roast ‘em, toast ‘em! Do you miss being able to “feel the heat” or is it better to extinguish this idea for good?

The great lost theme park owl —Hoot Gibson!! Decades before Mickey meet-and-greets, the robotic Hoot hosted parts of the “Walt Disney Story” at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. If Orange Bird can survive through Disney World merchandise, why not Hoot?? We’d buy it!

We are being told that Disney’s Haunted Mansion (Disneyland or Magic Kingdom) is a D-TICKET attraction! D, as in second tier. The Haunted Mansion is an ELITE masterpiece isn’t it? Have todays guests really lost sight of that? This is nuts, come on man!

The super secret Tomorrowland ride available ONLY to groovy disco bands! The stage would literally lower into the Disney World utilidors below Magic Kingdom. Sonny Eclipse has kept it stationary for decades, but we figure there has to be a way to turn it back on. Who’s with us??

The greatest attraction ever conceived for Magic Kingdom was never built. Millennials have never heard of Thunder Mesa, Disney’s multi E-ticket Frontierland show-stopper. How awesome would it be if this idea was resurrected someday? We wonder if today’s guests would still care?

The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular at Disney MGM (Hollywood) Studios featured film accurate sets with Nazi iconography. An odd position for a family fun park. It has since changed but is an interesting relic of the past that Disney may prefer you not to remember, but do you?

Forgotten. Ignored. Unceremonious stroller parking for the oblivious Disney World masses. Yet this mural in Germany pavilion at Epcot is the entrance to the never-built Rhine River ride. A vacant show building sits behind it. Do you ever stare longingly at what might have been?

What era was the GREATEST at Walt Disney World? 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s or today? Give us DETAILS WHY! We are purists so you may be able to guess our picks but what about YOURS?

Just some boring old sketch by Disney Imagineering legend Marc Davis. There’s an insane secret gag hidden in the Pirates of the Caribbean queue at Magic Kingdom. Are YOU the sort of person who knows it? Do you casually point it out to all your Disney World friends?

The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow appeared at Disney Hollywood Studios for less than two years. We bet you can’t even name all the Pirate movies so much remember an obscure tie-in park exhibit! Did anyone actually get to see this “audio visual spectacular”?

OMG, the giant random plush pile! We didn’t care about the stuffed animals and junk toys (most of the store by the end) but way before that the Disney Store was cool. They devolved over time losing most of what had made them unique. Do you miss them or had they run their course?

Once upon a time, graceful Swan Boats circled a full Cinderella Castle moat at Magic Kingdom — even venturing around the Swiss Family Treehouse!! What would you give to see Walt Disney World from this vantage point again??
