    Ottawa police is hiring 100 new officers. Let's be clear here, police do an essential job, but the goal should never be to have more. Instead, we should look at upstream factors and try to prevent crime. Maybe hire instead.

    Can someone remind me why we need to hire these companies? The way I see it, we already have engineers that know exactly what is needed. They evaluate the proposals. Can't the city simply hire a few more experts and manage its own project to save money and improve quality?

    why is the 282 consistently late by 15-30 mins. It’s frustrating because you don’t know if you missed the last bus or it’s just super late like today where it didn’t show up for 18:24 until 18:45. What sucks even more is that the previous svc is 17:53.... 1hr diff!!!
