You know what Mitt just said on the Senate floor? It’s what his Republican colleagues say at night when the cameras are turned off. I’m looking at you, Lindsey.

I had to get a background check for my job, and it turns out the report is a 300+ page pdf of every single tweet I’ve ever liked with the work “fuck” in it. Enjoy your dystopian bs! *waves*

The DNC didn’t change the rules to ensure good, diverse candidates could remain on the debate stage. They shouldn’t change the rules to let a billionaire on. Billionaires shouldn't be allowed to play by different rules—on the debate stage, in our democracy, or in our government.

Agreed. Roberts was never going to break a tie and change the outcome, but would have paid dearly in terms of institutional credibility. Murkowski is taking the hit for him.

Turn out and vote. Vote against EVERY republican. They own it. They own the crimes. They own the crazy. They have endorsed it. Burn the Republican party to the ground and salt the earth from whence it came.

Republican Senators know — he did it — it’s impeachable — they’d have impeached Obama for it — Trump will do it again — the republic is threatened And don’t care.

If Obama had asked the FBI to investigate DJT’s Russia connections + publicly disclose what we found in late Oct ‘16 to hurt DJT because he thought it was in the public interest for HRC to win, I would have refused to participate, reported him, and resigned if he didn’t back down

Dershowitz can claim the media is twisting his words and he didn’t argue that presidents can demand a quid pro quo purely to advance their political interests. But you know who else interpreted his words that way? Senators. Every one of them that I talked to. From both parties.

Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood going from being the faces of immensely popular fantasy franchises in the 2000s to careers entirely based around super weird genre movies which alienate most general audiences is a mad flex and I respect it entirely

So that everyone is clear, Trump’s team is simultaneously arguing that the House should enforce its subpoenas in court *and* that it is unconstitutional for a court to enforce the House’s subpoenas.

The GOP position: — Presidents can only be impeached for indictable crimes — But DOJ can’t investigate possible presidential crimes — Neither can state or local officials — If Congress tries to investigate, presidents can mass refuse all subpoenas for witnesses and documents

I repeat: Liz Warren has endured more criticism and blowback for trying to crunch the numbers to explain how she'll pay for Medicare For All than the guy who's made it the centerpiece of his presidential campaign.
