It’s incredible how far you can go by simply dressing correctly and walking purposefully. No one is going to stop a pissed off looking NCO/officer, especially if the two of them are discussing “supply problems” at the front.

I think it is unlikely the US military would consent to being deployed against the populace in any case, but as a general question I would assume they can secure their supply lines, most of these strategies would diminish in effectiveness once the element of surprise was lost

Who guards the hundreds of miles of pipeline? When gas is short truck convoys burn tons of fuel. Even more so when trees have been dropped on roads.
