Am I right that Ben is thinking not so much the content itself in terms of which views or ideas are shared but the person sharing them- their mental and emotional state and patterns. Would controlling that still be an echo chamber?

Very typical advice to filter out / decrease presence of angry people from your life, for example. Or alternatively intentionally choose 5 people you spend the most time with.
