It's not about making that happen, if it does it will not be because of accelerationism but an inevitable end point of capitalism or other historical forces, it's more an acknowledgment of the limits to which human agency can control those processes

A philosophy of resignation and misery. Why anyone would subscribe to it (beyond the obvious attraction of it making one seem terribly interesting and cutting-edge) is beyond me

Good question, my personal answer might be that a degree of detachment from political goals is preferable to joining in the angst and frustration you can currently observe on both the right and the left
