by which standard that wouldn't say the same of e.g. nazis (b/c they socialist)?
-
Nazis were anti-egalitarian, Islam is egalitarian, hence not far right in my view
-
both are egalitarian wrt to the ummah/volksgemeinschaft, respectively, and very not egalitarian wrt anyone outside of it
-
Anyone can convert to Islam and become a brother, Nazis distinguished between pure aryans, lesser but acceptables and untermenschen
-
true, the ummah is much more accessible, but idk if this maps onto left/right in any way also they got muslims, people of the book & kuffars
-
I don't think it's helpful to look at Islam through a left/right lens. Holborn was trying to sound clever but wasn't, hence unfollowed
-
I agree, but as I said, in the same sense in that it probably isn't all that helpful to look at fascism in general through a left/right lens
-
I agree left/right lens is problematic when applied to fascism
