In what sense is Capital really alien if it's just the processing of human desire
-

Well, imagine those two alongsides independently evolved biomes in the terrestrial upper mantle, the sun, and Titan, plasma-based biology in our magnetosphere, or a panspermic distantly shared origin with ancient Martian life. Are any of those really less alien?
-
The capital-technome just doesn't behave like terrestrially evolved ecologies. It only makes sense, over sufficient time, on an interplanetary scale and by modifying, more and more radically, any organisms involved.
-
Time dilation, rapidly iterated mass (re)production of technical objects - all signs of an independent evolutionary origin with drives orthogonal to the living (of) Earth. Converting ecosystems into money and compute (time) is as bona fide ontological as it gets
