Anecdotal evidence suggests high earners find ways to wriggle out of jury service because they find the time opportunity cost too high, does this make trial by jury a mildly progressive institution? Criminals are judged by the poor, or at least the marginally less successful
If I was called I'd want to do it though I think, it would be a life experience, I guess most trials are boring and unlike tv murder trials etc but even so

Believe me, after you've been called a few times – you're not really so keen on the process. It doesn't help that they actively seem to members for juries who aren't excited about the opportunity. Jury selection is the worst part.
