That's not quite what I'm referring to personally though, things have kept changing for me so far, jobs/partners/friends/hobbies etc, might finally be settling into a rut now I'm in my 30s

no i meant for people in general, perhaps it's a biological slowing down of some kind of brain function ?? but otherwise i dont know im still pretty much a spring chicken

Brain plasticity halts. Imagine a well worn path for wagons. Imagine trying to veer off into the wild. Hard because of deep wheel ruts. You need to knock your ego for a loop. There are spiritual practices for this. Also, psychedelics do a good job.

I know the way I treat employees has a lot to do with how my Dad treated me and how I saw myself in school, which is irrelevant and a problem when people look up to you but you see yourself as a nerdy 15 year old.
