It’s interesting that “free” public education through grade 12 is accepted without a second thought. Free education for people over 18 is radical

Too many people see conspiracies in public education. To them, it's an "indoctrination" system. Scary.
-
Yep, I've heard this 1st hand. It's crazy. Keeping people dumb is to their advantage.

Agreed. I get the feeling there's a chunk of the US population that wants a pool of "believers"- ppl unable to ideate. Trump certainly depends on it. Scary.

What about people who have no debt, who worked over 30 jobs while in college, didn't have a car, fancy clothes, or trappings those who rack up debt did?
-
This is the equivalent of buying something before Xmas and complaining about the item being on sale on Boxing Day.

10,000’s of people with student debt have worked their way out of it, so what’s the difference?

Heaven forbid we find a better way of doing anything ever.

Great add to the conversation...

It didn’t really take much to point out the lunacy in your position.

Too bad that didn't happen, but please don't let that stop your wonderful conversation skills.

Warren, Sanders, and Harris are pulling their party, and their country in the right direction, with progressive ideas, and a liberal vision of what America "could be". Anything that educates more citizens, and leaves them with *manageable* debts, I fully support..

I like Warren, but she's even more divisive a national figure than Hillary was. And I'm sure polling will obsess over her "likability" factor which is probably even lower than HRC's. Don't see her getting the nomination in 2020.
-
I like Warren and love Hillary. I'd vote for her again in a heartbeat. But the only woman with a shot at the nomination in 2020 is Kamala. Not saying it's fair just how it is.

This billionaire hoarders, mad with greed really, keep forgetting this is a consumer economy. Not only do we need living wages, but we need expendable income for everyone if you want the economy to thrive.

My concern regarding free public college is that our k-12 public education system is woefully underfunded and failing to properly educate too many of our children and I don't trust that we will provide enough funds to public colleges to provide for excellence in education.

That money would be significantly better spent in the k-12 public education system.
-
That would be ideal
