It's a Chromecast 2nd Gen device from what I've been made aware, the first one I got didn't work so Google warranty kicked in & they sent me this second gen one, which worked fine up until a few months ago, I haven't ever been prompted w/ troubleshooting steps by apps or chomcast

Understood. Do you get the same result with all cast-enabled apps? How far is your Chromecast from the router? Have you tried rebooting your Chromecast and Wi-Fi router to refresh the connection?

No this seems to be an isolated re-occurence with the casting from only the YouTube app, nothing else seems to have the degree of issues playing like YT does, the distance from the router is not more than 3meters I'd say, but I have seen it reboot when there's an issue w/ outages

Thanks. To confirm, does this also happen to other devices you cast YouTube from? Have you tried clearing the cache and data of your YouTube app before trying it again?

Yes it does keep happening on other devices casting YouTube, even at other people house have I noticed the interuptions, I have not tried doing that exactly, but my phone has the integrated data management tools of Android.9 that says clears out all app caches, at least that's st

Aside from clearing your browser's cache & cookies, what other troubleshooting have you tried when casting? If you haven't already, try reinstalling the app and ensure that you have the updated version – slow internet could be a factor too. More fix here: https://yt.be/help/y7xc
