      He does not preach that. Anderson preaches from the bible. Salvation is by faith alone, not works. Damnation is from a rejection of Christ or the sins laid out in the bible as damnabke sins.

      I can't find the exact clip since he's got thousands of hours of footage but this summarizes his belief on salvation. He asserts there are no acts that offend God so grievously as to condemn us to hell. IE he effectively does not believe in sin.https://youtu.be/GNC8BadXJFA

      So if someone believes in Christ but goes and kills dozens of people they're still saved by virtue of believing in Christ? By what standard does someone adequately "believe" in Christ?

      The answer to your scenario is yes Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Only you and God can truly know what you believe in your heart.

      I'll not saying any of us "know" if we will be saved or not but we can have an idea as to whether or not our actions contradict our faith. What do you think of the 10 commandments?

      If you believe Jesus is Lord and was raised on the third day and speak it aloud you will be saved. Everyone knows what they do believe and don’t believe. If salvation was based on the 10 commandments then neither Peter nor Paul would be saved. What do you think of Romans 10?

      You don't understand that I'm not saying it's one or the other. It's both. You need faith to act by God's law but you can violate God's law by not sufficiently meeting God's lofty expectations of us. Verbally saying "Jesus!" won't absolve you of wrongdoing

      By gods standard. No need to get all Talmudic or legalistic asking definitions. Everybody knows what “belief” means. Just read the Bible man, it’s so simple a child can understand what it says. You haven’t referenced or disputed any scripture thus far.

          You cannot interpret the Bible. Do you have the insight of the Holy Ghost? Jesus came to Earth to honor the Covenant. He did not come to replace the Church. He fulfilled His Promise to the Jews. The Jews never taught that a layperson could interpret the Bible for themself

          Christ never said you can interpret the Bible , either. Christ fulfilled the Law of Moses. Holy Tradition was always that Gods Grace comes from Sacred Scripture AND from God’s Church and Priests. Only the Catholic Church has the charisma of Truth

          You have no training or Authority from Christ to interpret Sacred Scripture. Only God’s Church can do that for you. That is the ancient Tradition followed by Moses and Abraham and the Israelites. That was the way Christ fulfilled and continued for 2000 years.
