EU isn't a country, though. You have to pick just one country within the EU. Them's the rules!

Not as far as I know. You have to be a citizen of an EU country.

This made me quickly look up the matter and it seems that there's pro-EU fanatics who wish there were something like a "EU passport" and share photomanipulated images of how they envision such a passport. Luckily it doesn't really exist.

You’d have a British passport (for example) but it also says European Union on it and movement between EU countries with one of those passports is pretty easy.
