4 -- Even with herd animals that don't pose this sort of problem, someone willing to spend 100k to kill an old animal that might not have a year or two left in it, contributes greatly toward conservation efforts

5 -- The African model of conservation somewhat takes after the world's greatest model - North America. Allowing wealthy Westerners to hunt big game, while funding conservation, also creates an industry the greatly mitigates the poaching industry.

6 -- These are the kinds of ideas that the North American systems created. Things like wildlife conservation being government subsidized in the sale of ammunition, whether you hunt or not, etc. Teddy Roosevelt heralded the combination of hunting and conservation, early century.
