that is true, it was for sure a movement waiting to happen. And Trump came along and activated it, but as it unfolded it it unfolded on a grass roots level but now Trump has abandoned what he ran on and the grass roots for the most part seems not to have noticed
The grass roots has noticed and his support from them has dwindled. Mainstream conservativism coopted trumpism. His main narratives have turned into complaining about issues that he as president can fix and complaining about how bad the democrats are.
