The controversy with the “Qi Pao” girl, is proof that nobody cares about Asians and our opinions don’t matter in society.

I’ve personally witnessed this to be true by having real life conversations with people who initially express resistance but eventually recognize their blind spots. They’ve become a helluva lot more compassionate from it.

If people could read this article by before screaming “they aren’t racist”! or telling POC they’re being a “reverse racist” for expressing their lived experiences, we’d all be in a much better place to have some real discussion:

Notice she didn't say, "I'm not offended", "we have bigger problems" or that people in India aren't bothered by it. This is how you use your platform when you're a POC. She has access to representation but knows how it affects others.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson says that the nation is diversifying too fast for Americans to "digest". Wrong... The nation is diversifying too fast for the simple-minded people watching Carlson's show to digest.

A man is handcuffed, pinned face down by a cop—second cop comes in sprinting, kicks man in the head, & then elbow drops him.😳 This happens every single day. Black people shouldn’t need blasted video footage to be believed that we need . Smh

Last word on this fucking qipao garbage. It was never about a dress. It was about American anti-Asian racism. Period. All y’all that defended this chick need serious racial bias training around Asians.

Met another fellow in the coffee shop who has a four year degree and works there. She and I had a talk and she’s going back to grad school. When you don’t fit into the “model minority”, you’re limited in terms of upward mobility.

My favorite arguments trying to discredit anything I say: “you hate White people”. Right. That’s why some of my best friends are White. No. I vehemently dislike people who tell me how I should feel/what I should think. Just so happens White people are the biggest perpetrators.

China has broken out the big guns in the trade war Trump started. They are not using tariffs. They are canceling orders for soybeans and getting supplies from another country. This is $14 billion a year to US farm economy. Trump's recklessness is going to cripple the midwest.

In honor of and the fact that I’m currently traveling in Asia, I’m ❤️accepting marginalization isn’t a virtue. Having the courage to speak out against it is. Pride in being Asian is never apologizing for having a voice.

Me: “She was copying a Vine” Him: “But still posted that? Wow” Me: “Yes. Why are White ppl are SO invested in defending her?” Him: “Because they benefit from the status quo and don’t want it to be challenged.” Him = White guy who sees through the bs. It’s possible people.
