and i can EASILY imagine Comcast, a company that owns NBCUniversal, throttling or totally blocking Amazon Prime or Netflix after they launch their own content streaming service. Internet is a utility and should be regulated as such.

Just to clarify something, this is something you sign up for on top of your regular data plan, but it doesn't excuse the douchebagery. We don't have throttled internet here and afaik they are the only ISP that does this stupidity.
