Questioning the logic of nominating what is technically a playable beta for GOTY.

haha yup. The Xbox version and the "official" 1.0 will drop before the year ends, technically allowing them to qualify.

The cut off point for TGA is before show airs. There have been games released in December that couldn't be considered because they were after the cut off point.
